Andre? Gueguen. Dear Brothers, teachers, alumni, students and guests. ?Work in what you like is freedom, love what you do is happiness? These are words that we can address to Bro. Andre?. I have read many books, including those given to me by Bro. Meesakdi and have learned many things. I want to bring here some of the thoughts I read and address them to Bro. Andre?. From the teaching of Fr. Pio - a saint with the stigmata similar to that of Jesus - he spoke about the Eucharist and prayer saying: ?The Eucharist is the highest sacrament, it is the greatest love of Jesus towards us. It makes us change from within attaining graces and true happiness. The graces bestowed by the Eucharist aside from helping us to be more devoted to God allow us to receive the body of Christ who is the source of all graces.? ?Prayer life is of utmost importance. It is the key that opens the heart of God. Therefore we should pray Jesus not only with words but with our heart.? The celibate life of Bro. Andre? Gueguen with the Brothers of Saint Gabriel in Thailand reached almost 56 years now. In all these years Bro. Andre? has being a great example for the whole community. He has donated himself totally, helping others the best way he could and developing the education of Thai students without relent. He loosed himself in favor of the others with excellence. He?s spiritual life has a strong devotion to the Eucharist and prayer. Therefore his life is a real model of a Brother for all the Brothers in Thailand. I found in Bro. Andre?s book these words: ? In not getting married or forming a family I have many sons and daughters to take care ? even though not having a house as a private property I have to take care of several places including a big school? in not having personal money I take care of a big treasure on behalf of others.? These are Bro. Andre?s remarks that impressed me very much. Dear and respected Bro. Andre, we are very happy on this occasion of your 88th birthday today. We pray that you could live up to at least 100 years Living a long life is a blessing from God. We wish to thank you very much for your consecrated life with the Saint Gabriel Community, for being a model for all of us even in this present society which is so confusing, were the values are consumerism and greed.
